Volunteer Engagement Makes College Graduation Happen
Join our extraordinary team of volunteers and help create brighter futures for our students, families, and the community!
Tutors
Share your talents with a student at our Saturday morning tutoring sessions. Students bring their homework from subjects ranging from 5th grade language arts to calculus. All sessions are appointment-based and subject-specific. Come every week or just plug into the schedule when you are available.
Read to Achieve
Do you love to read? Share your joy with a student who may not yet share your excitement. Meet weekly afternoons or evenings for 45 minutes at the Waukegan Public Library.
Mentors
As a mentor, you will be paired with a high school student to help navigate the path to college. The mentor and student meet monthly at a mutually-convenient time and place.
Graduation Coaches
Each of our students heading off to college are supported by a dedicated Graduation Coach, who has committed to the relationship through college graduation. Often, these coaches have served as a mentor to the student through the high school journey, as well.
Expanding Horizons
Help our students embrace the world beyond Waukegan by connecting us with a cultural venue or workplace to visit.
Other
There are always opportunities to step in and help for a few hours or a day. We love helping hands!
